well i m back from phuket.. good riddance.. just joking.. haha

it was overall a fun n very outdoorish trip, which is gd for me.. haha frankly i nvr did like shopping trips.. i tink u wld spend more money n will b like totally tired.. n not to mention got to take back alot more luggage when returning to spore..

so well amongst ppl coming late n ppl asking ppl to do things. we kinda got ourselves to changi budget terminal.. daddy fetched us so it was ok.. haha.. budget terminal is very budget.. haha..single leveled building.. lolz. but at least it still hav all the shops n eating places here ..

not as nice as t3 but yar.. its budget lah

anyway we reached on saturday 131208 late nite, around 11pm like that.. n we stayed there all the way until 171208 evening 6pm like tat.. haha

ever since reaching phuket it has been quite the mad rush.. rush to go to the beach.. rush to book the different tour packages.. n of course rush to shop..

thank goodness we din book the tour packages online.. if not my lips will b vibrating ar. haha.. we went to phuket n booked. n gosh josh.. the price was so much more cheaper.. since can bargain like dun know wad like tat.. haha we met a nice tour agent.. name is Lek.. lolz.. damm funny n nice. n yes she understand english.. n well got a relative gd price for 2 tours.. one to phi phi island which was island hopping n snorkelling.. n another was a sea canoeing trip to phang nga to explore sea caves.. cool rite?

of course we actually wanted to do many many more things.. like white water raft.. atv n all tat.. but no time.. haha..
but regardless we got a gd price(i tink) for the packages.. n definitely was cheaper than the online booking =p

the hotel we stayed in was a 3 star one .. Ochidacea if i m not wrong.. it close to kata beach.. n well is kinda at the start of the 'shopping belt' of the kata beach area.. its also not that high up the hill.. so we dun really hav to climb like fuck to reach our hotel.. though of course, we had to climb quite abit to reach our rm.. haha.. there is no lift there ar.. lolz.. its layout rdy reminds of old sajc at malan road.. haha the building built on a slope, so its kinda spreaded out.. anyway our rm was at the top of the hotel.. so we had a commanding view of the kata beach.. n well nice view.. n nice wind too.. haha.. lots of funny things happen in the rm sia.. shower head breaking twice, lolz.. n our many many requests.. haha.. we were thinking if the hotel staff kinda rmber us ..us being rm 144.. coz sometimes we dun even need to tell them our rm, and they wil know.. lolz.. but dun b mistaken, although its 3 stars, the hotel was still nice.. the staff were friendly n well very efficient i wld say.. hha.. everything was done quickly when we asked for it.. so 3stars was not tat bad afterall.. i mean it is relatively cheap too..

of course the reason they knew us cld b becoz we seem to b the only asian in that hotel.. lolz.. there were tons of white ppl... n well whenever we eat breakfast, i felt like a monkey on display.. theres always the stare n then looking away.. haha.. but i guess all was well .. at least we r singaporeans n not some other asian countries =)

oh yes breakfast served there was nice.. lolz.. the egg station was the celeb every morning.. with us eating the scrumptious omelettes like theres no tmr.. haha.. the female chef tat cooks the eggs was this rather small lady.. n she was dam shy.. haha.. but funny in a way.. anyway scrumptious scrumptious.. haha

talking abt food ar..the food there is damm cheap lah.. haha even eating at a high end, high class looking restaurant.. we had a feast of scumptious dishes. n we only like spent 20 singpore bucks each.. haha.. n we had like crab, prawns.. seafood the like.. n of course drinks n all tat.. haha.. cheap rite? .. n then we found a beach restaurant at kata beach.. i tink its called Kata Mama or something haha.. gosh there the food is even nicer.. n we spent like 10 bucks each, n we had more food.. n it was more scrumptious than the high end restaurant.. haha..

cheap is also the shopping i guess.. lolz.. but b rdy to bargain.. if not your lips will vibrate when u realised u been conned.. hha.. like cw n his 800baht sunglasses which cld b cheaper.. or mine 450 baht flip flop which cld b like 200-300baht.. haha.. or ed n his numerous t-shirts.. haha.. but anyway after learning from our first lessons of bargainning.. we quickly got the drift.. n well.. we were able to get gd prices for most of things.. t-shirts were mostly like 6 bucks.. haha.. board shorts mayb around 10plus.. belts was around 10plus too.. so basically everything was under 20 bucks singapore.. haha

n of course the t-shirts we brought were of 'branded' names.. but i wun tell u coz i dun wanna get insulted for buying fake goods.. haha =) actually as we were shopping we were all wondering if they were really fake or rejected goods.. but anyway i tried my best to make sure my stuff did not look too fake.. haha .. shall see bah yar..

anyway shopping in the end was very mad rush-ish .. or rather was the most rushy thing we did in phuket coz of time n the amt of stuff we wanted to buy.. bargainning was also very tiring.. haha wit all the sayings been repeated over n over again like:

'cannot cannot, too expensive.. give better price'
'half half, u want 180, we want 160.. so we take 170'
'really cannot cheaper?'
n the prize winning one
'we students, not rich.. give cheap cheap?'

haha.. not to mention all the talking in chinese so as to not let them know wad we saying.. although i tink some of stall ppl knew chinese.. haha but of course act dun know.. well some stall holders were nice to bargain wit, as in they were funny n all tat.. others were quite pmsy.. n wld actually come close to asking us to fuck off. lolz..

and being us.. we always seem to sag for damm long in a stall.. we cld spent up to a hour in one stall n still hav not decided on wad to buy.. haha.. or we cld not find a right size n wld stay there n look n look.. haha.. it took us a while b4 we had the mentality of if dun hav just move on.. haha.. n of course becoz of our draggy nature, many of the stall holders wld find us amusing.. n wld giggle or laugh.. i do hope they r laughing wit us.. haha...

oh yes.. the tour packages we booked were all to do nature n such.. very cool things.. first up the phi phi islands hopping.. in a speed boat.. whereby seriously u cld b thrown out of your seats.. coz the speed boat is crashing thru the water.. haha.. there was not much interaction btwn us n the other tourists.. n the grp was small like 10plus ppl. hha.. well we were the only asians. so yar..

anyway.. snorkelling was fun in a way... lolz.. first time doing it so when i first went in the water.. my mouth pc which is meant for breathing became a straw.. lol!.. n was sucking up huge amt of sea water.. haha.. i also went in wit my spec.. n gosh josh.. becoz of tat cld not create an air tight condition in my mask, n naturally sea water was like coming in.. lolz.. damm..i hope laser ops come soon.. haha .. anyway finally i took off my spec.. figured out how to wear the mask properly,.. n wow although i was slightly blinded.. i cld still see the fishes.. all the colourful ones.. n there were so many.. hha.. the guides were feeding the fishes.. so they were swimming near us.. hha.. so cool.. though treading water was quite the tiring affair.. but it was well worth it.. haha.. hmm wonder when i will see such nice stuffs sia.. haha

the beaches tat we went to was wow wow wow.. fine sands n all tat.. n crystal clear water.. so unlike spore.. haha.. one particular one was maya beach.. where they filmed the movie 'The Beach'.. anway.. white n fine sand.. nice water... ahhhhhhh.. n the view of the bay.. so DAMM nice.. haha

i sound like an excited sch gal.. but really its tat nice.. haha

then the 2nd trip was the phang nga province, a little further up from phuket.. where we did sea canoeing.. ok lah we din really self paddle.. we had a guide to paddle for us.. this grp had more interaction coz mayb the grp was bigger, 30 oddppl.. hha.. our guide for the day was damm nice.. n well funny too, toking abt trees look like like dicks.. n all tat.. n helping us cam whore.. haha.. we all tot he was one of the more talkative guides.. haha..

oh anyway the sea canoeing trip was cool in a way coz we get to explore the diff sea caves..n gosh some of the sea caves r so small.. the roof of the sea caves r like so near to our faces.. we had to lay down.. haha.. while some r so vast.. u feel slightly awed. haha.. there caves with bats.. n caves with shiny rocks.. very cool.. n all this while our guide was explaining to us the diff caves.. n the animals n all tat.. haha..

thru the caves.. we wil come into the lagoon or the hong as they say in thai.. haha.. saw many mangrove trees, mudskippers n a family of monkeys.. haha.. cw n ed took plenty n plenty of photos..

there was a small self paddling part.. haha where it was so damm funny.. coz whenever ed took the paddle.. we wld nvr go str.. haha.. but it was nice to enjoy some paddling ourselves.. haha.. but seriously we wld nvr survive as a canoeing team.. lolz

the coolest thing abt the sea canoe trip is the Hongs by the Starlight.. b4 hand we did something called a kratong, some floating thing made of the stem of the banana plant.. n decorated with flowers n wad not.. hhaha.. we went into this hong i guess n after cam whoring n wishing.. we released it.. n snap snap.. haha.. then our guide brought us to Dark Corner.. n showed us how to 'attract' a special type of plankton by shaking the water wit our hands.. haha.. wad so special abt these planktons r that they r luminous when shaken or disturbed.. lolz.. damm cool lah.. bright spots n all tat.. of course a little light n u wun b able to see it liao.. so its impossible to get it on film n photo.. but a very nice exp really..

well.. ok a rather long entry i know.. n really theres so much more to say,... haha..
yup there was quite a no. of bitching n snapping in the trip.. but i guess being frens thats wad happens.. haha.. cw headless chicken ritual in the morning was funny in a way.. n bitching at each other for all sorts of reasons was funny too.. haha..

whether another trip wil happen .. well not too sure.. mayb? haha,.. perhaps this time wit more ppl.. i wld not mind going back to phuket again.. its nice place.. nice ppl too.. mayb try staying in another hotel.. or stay in Ochidacea again also can... haha.. at least there got scrumptious omelettes.. haha..

soon i will received the photos from ed n cw.. n well wil post them on the blog.. so watch out for them bah..
